Yay, there's a Farmers Market here! I love seeing what produce looks like straight from the ground. I remember the first time I saw a stalk of brussel sprouts, and thought that was the wildest thing ever! It always amazes me to be 'out and about' as a missionary, and find the nicest people wherever I go.
Sometimes they will just say hello and smile. Some people will share that their ancestors were Latter-day Saints. It's always interesting to hear their family history! Other times people will share their mission experiences with us- and that's fun too. Still others will simply ask, "Are you really on a mission?" My companion-of-the-day and I usually look at each other and smile, and with great joy say, "Yes, and we get to do fun things like this during our mission!" I have to pinch myself constantly. This is a choice mission, I must admit.

Look for the Good around You
"You can see good all around you if you learn to look for it. One way you can learn to recognize blessings is by making it a habit each night to count the good things you saw that day." (Ensign Magazine, March 2011)
Wherever I am, I am in the service of God. I look, I listen, and I sense what is around me. My daily request in prayer is, "How can I serve today? Where should I be? Whom can I help? What can I do or say?"
As Elder Neil L Andersen counsels, "As you pray to know...words to speak will be given in the very moment you need them. Opportunities will open to you. Faith will overcome doubt, and the Lord will bless you with your very own miracles."
